World Blood Donor Day
For World Blood Donor Day 2020, the Facebook Social Good team launched a toolkit to provide thousands of blood banks around the world with assets to promote the FB Blood Donation tool. We wanted to create a campaign that encouraged audiences to sign up by better informing them about the experience. This global campaign was translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, and French.
The campaign helped to fill the knowledge gap, underscore safety, demystify the donation process, and encourage people to save lives by giving blood—giving them ways to flex once they have. The donation tool kit provided included post copy, pre-made video ads, customizable video templates, Giphy stickers, and photo frames—all in 5 languages. Campaign reached 320 million followers on FB & IG across athletes, teams, celebrities, blood banks, and health organizations.
